Football Banquet

Brett and I attended his football banquet this morning. The entire team got a really cool trophy.

No Bake Cookies!

Brett developed Pink Eye this weekend... not sure how. So, here are at home together again. Today we made jello and no bake cookies. YUM! I told Brett that Aunt Shelby and I made these all the time when we were kids. When we were in a hurry, we would put them into the freezer so that they would cool faster.

Strep...

On Friday when Brett woke he complained that his throat hurt when he swallowed and that his head hurt. Then after breakfast he ran the bathroom, cuz he thought that he was going to throw up. So, of course I thought STREP!!! I called the nurse at his doctors office and she said to keep him at him but not to bring him in, because he could potentially get a false negative on the strep test. So, I called into work and we stayed home. Saturday morning came and Brett had a fever of 102.2 and he vomitted at 4am. We gave him motrin, it seemed to help some. Then at 8am, his fever was still high and he couldn't even walk because of his raging headache. We gave him more Motrin, I called in and made an appointment at 10:50... Then by 10 he was not feeling any better so we gave him Tylenol. By the time he saw the nurse practitioner, the meds had broken his fever. They took a swab for a rapid strep test... and... it was positive. So, he is now on Amoxicillan for 10 days. My poor guy! So, of course, we took him to Wal-Mart. Charlie bought him one of those BB guns that shoots those rubber BBs. They are in the laundry room right now, shooting into the garage pretending that they are Halo or Splinter Cell warriors or something. Brett is loving life!!! Charlie is too!
So, all in all ... all is well!

Looks like Shelby is cheating. She takes three balls and throws them down the lane as fast as she can. Then she runs back to the ball thingy and gets more before the balls are registered. Shame Shelby! SHAME!
