Dharma Trading Co.
This is a textile craft supply store, it is a really cool site to buy all kinds of dyeable fabrics and supplies.. I want to orders some stuff for Brett and I to do. Tanner likes to dye clothes as well, I still have T-shirts that we never did from the last time he was here.

Brett's Memoirs
Brett's class has been working on a writing project. They have been writing memoirs, which as Brett described, are significant moments in your life. So, his teacher invited the parents into class so the students could read their memoirs to us. Brett had written two, one about when Charlie left for Iraq and one about when his friend had stolen his DS then hid in the library. Interestingly, both of these events happened on the same day last May. Then we had lunch in the classroom. Charlie had picked up Subway subs for us. It was nice for both of us to get time away from work so that we could attend a school event for Brett.

Hey Ya'll...
Hey everyone... I have clearly not been online lately as much as I have been in the past.
I attribute that to Charlie being home, Brett in guitar and baseball at the same time, and spring time! Who can resist getting their arse off the pc and outside. Baseball is going well, our team is four for four!! WOW!
So, Pottery is done, I need to take pics of all the wares, maybe tomorrow.
I got my quilt from Candy and have been keeping to myself. It is so beautiful that I want to use it as decor, a showpiece really, but instead I have been wrapping up in it on the couch.
Work is the same old crap... I so want to like my job and enjoy my work, but like millions of Americans, I do not. Oh well. And I willingly signed the form to go back full time on May 3rd. This is ok, as it will help me accrue the leave I need for vacation this summer and will be more money, also to pay for vacation this summer.
Brett's guitar teacher has him practicing "Secret Agent Man" and "Sweet Home Alabama" and we all think that is pretty cool.
Yesterday afternoon, Jenny and Julie and I got Greek salads from Mama Lucia's, I picked up a bottle of pinot noir, which made for a lovely afternoon. Which consequently lead us to very sweetly ask the men to take the boys to the Boy Scouts presentation of safety, or something, and us girls all scrounged our fridges and freezers to come up w/something to make for dinner. So, I found some frozen corn on the cob, two packs of Italian sausage, I whipped up a pasta salad w/Italian dressing and I had some pepperoni and provolone cheese which I chopped up. Julie pulled out a kielbasa and sauteed some peppers and onions and made nachos w/canned chili and shredded cheddar, YUMMY! Jenny chopped some veggies and made two dips, again... YUMMY. When the guys got back they started a fire, we ate and had a very nice evening.
Brett had a 9am game today, and it was already in the high 70s. They kicked butt! Then we hustled to the high school for football signup's before they closed at noon. We came home, I made sandwiches, then I crashed on the couch for almost 2 hours! I almost never nap.. but I was seriously wiped out. Probably too much wine and beer the night before... ha ha..
I did come across this really neat quilt blog http://crazyshortcutquilts.blogspot.com/. Candy, I think you would really appriciate this ladies craftsmanship.
I have a HUGE salmon filet prepped for baking!! Gee, and I wonder why I can't lose weight, ha ha...

CS, PA Class of 1993
I started a google group in the hopes that my classmates could and would reconnect. This spring will mark 15 years since our high school graduation. The number, 15... wow... hard to believe because it all seems like yesterday.... we were just planning Prom 1992, we just went to states for Volleyball, we just played in the district tournament for softball, we just walked down those aisles in the auditorium...

Foggy and Rainy
Today is foggy and rainy.... Earlier it was just foggy, so I Brett and decided to go for a walk. We barely got to the end of the driveway before the rain started picking up. It was not raining hard, but enough for us to turn around and head back up to the house. It is 55 degrees out which is really a nice temperature for March. I've got the windows open and the fan running. Need to blow some of the stink out!
Before the rain started, we stopped for a second to look at some spring growth. I don't know what these are called, but if we had raked all the leaves back from the sides of the driveway, these would be everywhere. It almost looks like snow in the springtime to me.

I love March!!!
Today was a great start to the Spring season. We got outside for a bit to play w/Sammy and Henry. I also did a three mile walk w/ Julie. Charlie helped some of the other Dad's prep the baseball fields for this season.
I've got burgers ready for the grill and am boiling some Farfalle for pasta salad w/ beer in hand. Life is good. All I need now is a fire in the pit and some company.

Tanner
We drove up to Hanover PA today to see Scott's new house... it is framed in and wired. Then we stopped at the Utz outlet and got some chips. Then we stopped at Shoe Horse farm to see some of the foals. The oldest was 5 days old, and the youngest was born yesterday. They are sooo cute. I think Tanner got a little sleepy on the way home.

Happy Valentines Day!!!
Guess what I got for Valentines Day???
Charlie bought me a KitchenAid Professional 5(tm) Plus Mixer! It has a high performance 450 Watt motor, direct drive all-steel gear transmission, 5-quart capacity wide bowl, POWERKNEAD(TM) spiral dough hook, and a professional bowl-lift design. My lovely KitchenAid boasts a gleaming jewel-like finish in Onyx black in a sleek design, and it was assembled with pride in Greenville, Ohio!!!
So, I decided it was time to clean up the junk pile on the counter next the fridge and finally move that old microwave down to the basement. I cleaned out my old canisters and decided to begin using my tin set because you can actually scoop flour right out of it. Now you can actually see my hand-carved wooden box! I got that two years ago from an artist at the Sheep & Wool festival. It is the most expensive straw holder in the world... Amazingly, straws fit perfectly in the lower drawer, so handy when I'm guzzling margaritas. Mad cash fits in the upper left drawer, but we don't have any right now, so don't get any ideas. I recently found a box in the closet in the spare room that had not been unpacked since we moved and I found my glass bread pan!!! I found a few other things too, like .. um.. my wedding dress!! ha ha... anyway, the glass pan
holds my latest recipes perfectly!! I love it. So, I'm thrilled w/my new mixer and the use of the canisters, which makes for a lovely baking station!!
So, you are probably thinking... what happened to all the clutter that was on that counter.... Well, I can't close my rolltop desk now!
I'll get to that later, I'm cooking right now!
